NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. - An annual rock n' roll reunion show for a band from Northborough has become more than just a night of fan favorite tunes.

The Nibot Noslen Band will host its fourth annual “Party for the Pantry” on Saturday, Nov. 26, bringing friends and family together for a night of music while supporting a good cause.

The Northborough musicians will be accompanied by its opening act, The Sty Monsters as well as Luke Tobin and Jake Shea of 3MF.

More than 30 years ago, Northborough resident Jim Tobin, his brothers and friends started the band, and in 2008, Tobin reached out to his band mates about playing a reunion show around Thanksgiving.

The decision to plan the gig soon transformed into an event that would also benefit the musicians' hometown.

“They approached the Northborough Food Pantry four years ago and said 'we're doing this and we'd like to donate the proceeds to the pantry',” Sarah Rothery, co-director of the Northborough Food Pantry. “It was extremely wonderful for them to do that.”

Now, as an annual tradition, the “Party for the Pantry” is an event that is look forward to by all.

“People not only have fun coming out to see the band, but [they] put money together to help the food pantry,” said Nibot Noslen bassist John Brigham.

With the number of less fortunate families increasing each year, the reunion show helps the food pantry in a time when its staff are in need as well.

“It works out perfectly for us because it provides an infusion of fun during the holiday season, where we are often buying extra food for families and giving super market gift cards to families,” Rothery added. “This is a time when we could really use the financial aid.”

The reunion show is being held at the Indian Meadows Golf Club in Westborough, with doors opening at 6 p.m. The music will continue until midnight, and a cash bar will also be available at the club.

“[This event] is really important. It's a good thing to do especially around the holidays,” said Brigham. “It [helps] fund the other stuff they need to buy on a regular basis.”

Admisssion is $10 per person, and all proceeds raised by the event will be given to the Northborough Food Pantry.
